Silver Coin MICHEL PLATINI 2011 "Kings of Football” Series

“Michel Platini” is the eighth coin of the “Kings of Football” series produced by the Mint of Poland.

The series of commemorative silver coins was dedicated to the most famous and remarkable football players. In the following years the Mint plans to produce about 4 coins more of the Kings of Football series.

The issuer of the coins is the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia. The coins were struck on blank of Ag 925, in proof quality. The reverses of coins are decorated partly by pad printing technique.

Obverse:
In the central part of the coin there is the logo of the “Kings of Football” series. On the edge of the coin there is an inscription „Republic of Armenia” in Armenian (at the top) and English (at the bottom). Under the series logo there is the face value of the coin – 100 drams (inscription in Armenian). Below there is the year of issue (2011) in the centre of which there is the emblem of the Republic of Armenia.

Reverse:
In the central part of the coin there is the image of player’s bust. In the upper part there is a semicircular inscription “Michel Platini” in the lower one there is player’s hand signature. In the background there is a ball leaving behind a trail in the colors of a Argentinian flag.
